HOW TO COOK ginataang kalabasa at sitaw recipe

     First, you need to prepare all the ingredients needed for the recipe and next prepare your cooking pan and heat the oil up, and then toss the onion and garlic first and add the squash and string beans after.  Spread a little bit of salt unto the recipe and season some black pepper to it  after that add 2 chicken cubes. Mix it and add butter after, and pour out the coconut milk. Simmer it until the vegetable is tender enough to eat.  While simmering it few minutes just add a coconut cream and simmer it again. After that you’re done and your Ginataang Kalabasa at Sitaw Recipe is finally cooked.

How long does coconut cream last out of the can?

If you left an opened can of coconut cream on the counter overnight, it would go bad. It lasts 5-7 days in an airtight container in the fridge, or up to two weeks at the most, if properly stored.

What can we use if sitaw (string beans) is not available

You can use chili flakes or a number of red chili peppers. The number of peppers to be used depends on your desired spiciness of the dish.

  • It is best partnered with fresh Daing (Dried Fish)

  • 1 kilo Kalabasa (Squash)
  • 1 Sitaw (String Beans)
  • 1 pc Onion

  • 1 cup Water
  • 100 ml Coconut Cream
