HOW TO COOK PORK HAMONADO

In a large bowl, mix together, pork belly, pineapple juice, onion, garlic, black pepper, salt and mix until well-combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight. In a pre-heated pan, sauté the garlic and onion with oil then add the marinated pork then sauté until the pork is light brown. Add soy sauce and the marinade and season it with sugar. Add bay leaves and simmer until pork is tender. You can dash some magic sarap on it.  Once the pork is tender, add pineapple chunks then simmer for another 3-5 minutes.

  • 1 kilo Pork Belly / Liempo
  • 2 cans Pineapple Juice
  • 2 pcs Onion
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 9 cloves Garlic
  • 2 pcs Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks
  • Black Pepper
  • Magic Sarap
  • Oil
  • Salt
