Easy Pork Hamonado Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo Pork Belly / Liempo
  • 2 cans Pineapple Juice
  • 2 pcs Onion
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 9 cloves Garlic
  • 2 pcs Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks
  • Black Pepper
  • Magic Sarap
  • Oil
  • Salt

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together, pork belly, pineapple juice, onion, garlic, black pepper, salt and mix until well-combined.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
  • In a pre-heated pan, sauté the garlic and onion with oil then add the marinated pork then sauté until the pork is light brown.
  • Add soy sauce and the marinade and season it with sugar.
  • Add bay leaves and simmer until pork is tender.
  • You can dash some magic sarap on it. 
  • Once the pork is tender, add pineapple chunks then simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
