Just by mixing drained tuna flakes with mayo, onion, pepper and onion, spread it on a bread, top with cheese and parsley and just toast for a few minutes, you can now enjoy this mouth watering sandwich.

HOW TO COOK Tuna Melt Sandwich

     Start cooking this delicious dish by first draining the canned tuna. Then, in a bowl, pour in drained tuna flakes. Add in mayonnaise and mix well. Season with salt and black pepper. Pour in hot sauce and onion then mix until all ingredients are well blended. Spread tuna mixture on bread slices. Top it with grated cheese and chopped parsley. Toast sandwiches for 3-5 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve and enjoy.

What can we use as hot sauce substitute?

In case hot sauce is not available in your kitchen, you may use chili flakes or chili powder.   

Tips on Cooking this recipe

  • In case only ordinary cheese is available, you can use it and just preheat the toaster or oven before toasting the sandwiches.
  • Make sure to drain the tuna well to avoid unnecessary oil in the tuna spread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Tuna Flakes 155 grams each
  • 6 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 pc White Onion chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Hot Sauce
  • 5 pcs Bread Loaf
  • Quickmelt cheese
  • Parsley
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Drain canned tuna.
  • In a bowl, pour in drained tuna flakes.
  • Add mayonnaise and mix well.
  • Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Add in hot sauce and onion.
  • Mix until all ingredients are well blended.
  • Spread tuna mixture on bread slices.
