Prepare the chicken in a bite size cut.
Put the chicken bites in a deep bowl. Add 2 Tbsp of cornstarch, 3 Tbsp of fish sauce, 1 piece of egg and a dash of pepper. Mix until well combined. Let it sit or marinate for 15 minutes.
For the coating, mix 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour and 1/4 tsp of garlic powder.
Dredge the marinated chicken bites in the flour mixture.
Then deep fry for 8 to 10 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color. Set aside for later.
Now for the sweet soy garlic sauce. In a cooking pan stir 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 and 1/2 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 and 1/2 Tbsp of water, 1 and 1/2 Tbsp of vinegar and 1/4 tsp of garlic paste.
Turn on the stove and continue stirring.
Dissolve 1 tsp of cornstarch on 1/2 Tbsp of water add it on the mixture.
Simmer until the sauce thickens in texture.
Add the fried chicken popcorn. Make sure all the chicken popcorn is evenly coated with the sauce. Sprinkle some sesame seeds.
Pass on platter. Serve and Enjoy!
