Donut or doughnut is a type of fried dough confection or dessert food. It's popular in many countries as a sweet snack that can be purchased in bakeries, food stalls, supermarkets, and franchised specialty vendors or can be made at home.
- 250 grams all-purpose flour
- 185 ml fresh milk
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 piece egg
- 80 grams sugar
- 20 grams margarine or butter
- cooking oil
- 3 tbsp fresh milk for chocolate coating
- 1 bar chocolate (Goya) for chocolate coating
- 2 sachets chocolate powder (Milo) for chocolate coating
Put 520 grams of all-purpose flour in a big mixing bowl.
Add 80 grams of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Mix all the ingredients.
Add 185 ml of fresh milk, 1 piece of egg, and 20 grams of melted margarine.
Mix all the ingredients until it forms a dough consistency. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
Heat 2 cups of cooking oil in a deep pan for deep frying.
Scoop a portion of the dough. Round the dough before frying.
Deep fry until it turns golden brown in color.
Use a double boiler to melt the chocolate bar.
Add 3 tablespoons of fresh milk.
Dip the donuts in the chocolate dip. Using a strainer sprinkle chocolate powder (Milo) on top.
