- 6 pcs ripe banana saba
- 1 cup all-purpose cream
- 1 pc egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- cooking oil
- white sugar for dusting
Peel 6 pieces of banana (saba).
Place in a large bowl and mash the peeled banana using a mortar (or you can use the bottom part of a drinking glass).
Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 piece of egg, 1/2 sugar, 1 cup of water, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix to blend all the ingredients well.
In a frying pan, heat enough amount of cooking oil for deep frying.
Scoop a portion of the banana mixture. Deep fry until it turns golden brown in color.
Sprinkle some white sugar on the top. Serve for merienda!
