Sapin Sapin Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Glutinous Rice Flour
  • 3 cups Coconut Milk
  • 1 can Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tbsp Langka (Jackfruit) flavoring
  • drops Yellow Food Color
  • 2 800 ml Coconut Milk

Instructions

  • Prepare all the needed ingredients for this recipe.
  • Mix the glutinous flour and milk then stir it well and add condensed milk and vanilla, then mix again until well combined.
  • Divide the Sapin Sapin Mixture into two bowls, the first mixture add 1 tbsp Ube Flavor, then mix it well. 
  • While the second mixture you will put some langka flavor and add yellow coloring on it.
  • Prepare a pan and put the coconut milk and stir continuously until oil comes out and form a latik. 
  • After that set aside it. Pour out the Ube mixture on the round baking pan and then steam it for 10 minutes.
  • Add the second mixture which is the langka flavor and steam it again for 10 minutes and after, add the last mixture and steam it again. 
  • After steaming it brush it with coconut oil from latik and then put a banana leaf on the top and get a chopping board and put it on the top and flip it.
  • After that brush again with coconut oil and add latik on the top.
  • Serve and Enjoy
