EASY HOMEMADE TOFU SISIG ( No Sizzling Plate )

Ingredients

  • 4 pcs tofu
  • 1 pc white onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 pc green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 pc green chili pepper sliced
  • 1 pack mayonnaise 80ml
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 4 tbsp water
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • cooking oil

Instructions

  • Heat 2 to 3 cups of cooking oil in a pan.
  • Place tofu in a strainer and dip it in the pan to deep fry until it gets golden brown in color.
  • Remove strainer from oil and drain the tofu for excess oil.
  • Heat oil in a larger pan.
  • Sauté onion, then add garlic.
  • Once onion is translucent and garlic is golden brown, add in bell pepper.
  • Season with a dash of black pepper then mix.
  • Add in mayonnaise and mix.
  • Add2 tbsp water and mix.
  • Add another 2 tbsps of water and continue mixing.
  • Put in oyster sauce, mix well.
  • Season with salt as needed.
  • Add in fried tofu and mix until it is well combined with the sauce.
  • Sprinkle with sliced green chili on top.
  • Remove from heat, serve and enjoy.
