SHRIMP TEMPURA RECIPE (Crispy Fried Ebi Tempura)

- 10-12 pcs shrimp shelled and deveined
- 1 cup cold water
- ice cubes
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pc egg
Dredge shelled and deveined shrimp in 1/2 cup of flour. Set aside unused flour.
Beat egg in a bowl.
Add ½ cup water and 1/2 cup all purpose flour and cornstarch.
Mix well then add 1/2 cup water with ice cubes.
Season with salt and add baking powder, mix.
Heat pan with cooking oil for frying.
Dredge the shrimp again in the flour and coat it with batter before dropping them in oil.
Deep fry until shrimps get a light golden brown color.
Remove from heat and drain for excess oil.
Plate, serve and enjoy.
