In a medium size mixing bowl, put two cups of all-purpose flour, two teaspoon of baking powder, one teaspoon of sugar, two teaspoon of salt. Mix well the ingredients.
Transfer the flour mixture in a larger bowl. Add two tablespoon of cooking oil and one cup of warm water and mix well.
Knead the dough on a floured surfaced for ten minutes. Gradually add all-purpose flour(add as needed). Transfer in a bowl cover with a cling wrap. Let it sit for thirty minutes.
After thirty minutes, divide the dough into eight equal part. Flatten the dough in a floured surface
Cook in a frying pan one minute each side of the bread.
For the Garlic Mayo sauce - Mix 1/2 cup of mayonnaise with 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder transfer on a pastry bag.
For the Shawarma Filling - Heat two - three tablespoon of cooking oil in a frying pan. Saute three cloves of minced garlic and one piece of minced red onion.
Add 500 grams of ground beef, a pinch of salt and a dash of black ground pepper. Cook for a while then add one tablespoon of soy sauce, two tablespoon of oyster sauce and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Pan fry until the beef meat if cook. Transfer on a clean bowl and set aside.
For the beef shawarma wrapping - Place the pita bread in a flat surface. Put desired amount of meat filling, thin slices of cucumber, tomatoes and white onion and then top with the garlic mayo dressing.
Fold the side of the bread in the middle and turn over bottom side upward. Pin with a wooden pick to secure the filling inside.
Serve for snacks!
