Stir fry hotdog is a great dish which can be served as an appetizer, merienda, rice topping or even a beer match. This recipe is a variation of stir fried hotdog in a sauce made up of ketchup and oyster sauce.

Though very versatile, this hotdog recipe which can be served in various meals is very simple to make. Just stir fry the hotdog slices, add in ketchup and oyster sauce and top with sautéed onions.

HOW TO COOK Stir Fry Hotdog With Ketchup And Oyster Sauce ( Sizzling Hotdog ) Hotdog Recipes

     To cook stir fry hotdogs with ketchup and oyster sauce, first cut hotdogs diagonally then set aside.

     Next, heat a pan and drizzle with cooking oil. Saute white onion until it turns translucent. Set Aside.

     On another pan, stir fry the hotdogs for 3 to 4 minutes or until the hotdogs are cooked. Pour in Ketchup, ¼ cup of water and oyster sauce consecutively. Stir to blend the ingredients well. Season with a dash of black ground pepper then add another 1/8 cup of water. Let it simmer for a while.

     Garnish the precooked onion on top. Pass on a platter. Serve and enjoy!

What kind of ketchup to use?

We used banana ketchup in this recipe. However, you can use any type of ketchup as to your preference. 

Tips on Cooking this recipe

  • Cheese can be added if you prefer a much creamier taste and texture.
  • You can add chili powder or chopped red hot chili peppers if you want to have a kick of spice.

  • 7 pcs hotdog
  • 1 pc white onion
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • black pepper
  • salt as needed
