A Korean originated recipe, but this time we will make it more Filipino Style, it means that it will be more easy, affordable and at the same time has a good taste that will surely satisfy your appetite. This Japche Recipe is made with Stir Fried Carrots, Mushrooms, Spinach, Marinated Beef and Japchae Sauce Added with Cooked Dangmyun Noodles Drizzle

A elegant and delectable dish to serve for dinner to your family and friends. Not only is it tasty, but it’s also healthy, as the majority of the ingredients are veggies. Japchae is a Korean phrase that means “mixed vegetables.” so expect that this Japchae recipe is healthy and enriched with vitamins.

HOW TO COOK JAPCHAE

     First, prepare all the needed ingredients needed for this recipe and marinate the beef sirloin with garlic powder, sugar soy sauce and sesame oil then mix it well. Soak the shitake mushroom and black mushroom into the water.  While soaking it beat some eggs and cook, then squeeze some mushrooms to remove excess water. Cut off mushroom stems and slice it into strips. Roll the cooked egg then slice it, cook the Dangmyun noodles and boil it for 7 minutes.

After that rinse and drain it then put some sesame oil over the noodles then mix it well.  After doing that mix the soy sauce, sugar and oyster sauce then mix it well. Prepare pan for stir frying then stir fry the marinated beef earlier and add the mushrooms,carrots and bell pepper. Add some white onion and spring onions. Mix it well then add spinach add sesame oil and pour out the soy sauce mixture. Dash some black pepper to it then then add the noodles and toss and mix it well and lastly sprinkle some sesame seeds. 

Where to buy the Dangmyun Noodles and mushrooms?

Simply go to your local grocery (SM store in our case), if Dangmyn Noodles is not available, look for it in Korean stores or on Facebook groups. You may find the mushrooms at your local wet market. You can buy it there on a cheap price at the same time a good quality one.

What can we use if spinach is not available?

There are a variety of spinach substitutes, but iceberg lettuce is one of the most acceptable. It has a spinanch-like texture and appearance.

Tips on Cooking this recipe

  • For best results use fresh vegetables and ingredients  
  • You can add other vegetables that you think it suitable to your Japchae Recipe. 
  • If possible, marinate the beef sirloin ahead of time before cooking this meal.

Ingredients

  • 367 grams Beef Sirloin
  • 6 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 3 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 20 grams Shitake Mushrooms
  • 10 grams Black Mushrooms
  • 1 pc Egg
  • 1 pc Egg Yolk
  • 250 grams Dangmyun Noodles
  • 30 grams Oyster Sauce
  • 1 pc Carrots
  • 1 pc Bell Pepper
  • 1 pc Onion
  • 50 grams Spring Onions
  • 20 grams Spinach
  • Black Pepper
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • Cooking Oil For frying

Instructions

  • Prepare all the needed ingredients needed for this recipe.
  • Marinate the beef sirloin with garlic powder, sugar soy sauce and sesame oil then mix it well.
  • Soak the shitake mushroom and black mushroom into the water.
  • Beat some eggs and cook.
  • Squeeze some mushrooms to remove excess water.
  • Cut off mushroom stems and slice it into strips.
  • Roll the cooked egg then slice it.
  • Cook the Dangmyun noodles and boil it for 7 minutes.
