How To Make Palitaw (Easy Steps and Procedure) Sweet Rice Cake with Coconut

How To Make Palitaw (Easy Steps and Procedure) Sweet Rice Cake with Coconut. Palitaw a Classic Filipino kakanin and snacks made of Glutinous Rice Flour and Water coated with Shredded coconut, Toasted Sesame seed and Sugar.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup Glutinous Rice Flour
3/4 cup Water
1/2 cup Shredded Coconut
1/3 cup Sugar
1/8 cup Sesame seeds
Water

Procedure:

  1. Pour  1 and 1/2 cup of Glutinous rice flour in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually add 3/4 cup of water while mixing.
  3. Knead the dough.
  4. Scoop a portion of the dough and roll into a ball. Flatten the ball dough.
  5. Repeat procedure 4 until all the mixture are used.
  6. Boil 1 liter of water.
  7. Drop the dough into the boiling water.
  8. Let it cook until it floats. Place in a plate then set aside.
  9. In a pan toast 1/8 cup of sesame seeds by continuous stirring.  
  10. In a plate mix 1/2 cup of shredded coconut, 1/3 cup of  white sugar and the toasted sesame seeds. Mix until all ingredients are blended well. 
  11. Coat the dough with the coconut mixture.
  12. Transfer on a serving plate. Enjoy!
