Egg sandwich is an easy Pinoy merienda recipe. A Sandwich made from mushed hard-boiled eggs and mayonnaise. You may also add other various ingredients such as lettuce and cheese depending on your cravings.

How To Make Homemade Egg Sandwich

Egg Sandwich

To make homemade egg sandwich, first boil 5 eggs in a pot. Add water enough to fill the pot and is 1 inch above the eggs (if the eggs float, those eggs are old). Let the eggs boil for 15 minutes (make sure all the eggs are hard-boiled). Remove the pot from the stove drain the hot water replace it with cold tap water. Let it cool for a while. Peels the shell of each egg. 

Place the hard-boiled eggs in a medium-size bowl. Mash the eggs. Add mayonnaise then mix to evenly mix the mayonnaise with the mashed egg. Enhance the taste by adding some salt and pepper (adjust the amount according to your taste). 

Spread the egg mixture on one side of the bread. Place another bread on top. You can make 4 to 5 sandwiches with this given ingredients.

Yield: 4 to 5 servings
