How To Cook The Best Sweet and Sour Chicken

How To Cook The Best Sweet and Sour Chicken. Made of Marinated Chicken Breast dredge in flour then fried. Sauce made of Vinegar, Sugar, Ketchup, Pineapple Juice, Water, Cornstarch with Pineapple bits , Onion, Red and Green bell pepper.

Ingredients:

Fried Chicken Breast
373 grams Chicken Breast
1 cup All-purpose Flour
4 Tbsp Cornstarch
2 Tbsp Fish sauce
1 piece Egg
Dash of Black pepper
Cooking oil ( Deep Fry )

Sweet and Sour Sauce
200 grams Pineapple tidbits
1/3 cup Vinegar
1/4 cup Sugar
2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
1/3 Cup water
3 Tbsp Ketchup
2 Pieces Small Red Bell pepper
1 Piece Green Bell pepper
1 piece Onion
3 Cloves Garlic
Salt
Black pepper
Cooking oil

Procedure:

Fried Chicken Breast

  1. Place the square cut chicken breast in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add 2 Tbsp of Fish Sauce, 4 Tbsp of Cornstarch, crack 1 piece of egg and dash of black ground pepper. Mix until all ingredients are blended well. 
  3. Let it sit or marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat cooking oil in a deep pan.  
  5. Dredge the marinated chicken in flour before frying. 
  6. Deep fry for 5 – 6 minutes in medium heat. 
  7. Place in a plate with a kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil. Set aside the fried ckicken breast for later.

Sweet and Sour Sauce

  1. In a cooking pan heat  1 to 2 Tbsp of cooking oil. 
  2. Saute 3 cloves of minced garlic and 1 piece of minced onion.
  3. Add 2 pieces of red bell pepper and 1 piece of green bell pepper cut beforehand.
  4. Stir fry for a while. 
  5. Add 1/3 cup of water, 1/3 cup of vinegar, 1/4 cup of sugar.
  6. Pour 200 grams of Pineapple juice and 3 Tbsp of Ketchup. Stir to blend all the ingredients well. 
  7. Simmer for a minute then add 2 Tbsp of Oyster Sauce and stir.
  8. Let it simmer for a while.
  9. Add 1 Tbsp of Cornstarch dissolve in 2 Tbsp of Water.
  10. Add a dash of pepper and a pinch of salt. Let it simmer for a while. Then add 200 grams of Pineapple Tidbits.
  11. You can now put the Fried chicken breast. Mix until the all fried chicken is evenly coated with the sauce.
  12. Pass on platter. Serve and Enjoy!
