Creamy Carbonara Pasta a Christmas Recipe. Filipino Style Carbonara is one of the most popular pasta recipe in Philippines. Usually serve during Birthdays, Christmas, Noche Buena or even merienda and other Occasions.
Ingredients:
500 grams Pasta (Linguine or Spaghetti pasta) 115 grams Mushroom 370 ml Evaporated milk 1/4 cup Sugar (optional) 100 grams Butter 1 whole White onion 500 ml All-purpose cream 165 grams Cheese 250 grams Sweet ham Salt Ground pepper Cooking Oil Water

Procedure:
Add 1 to 1.5 liter of water to a pot.
Add a pinch of salt.
Add some cooking oil then bring it to boil.
Add 500 g of pasta to the boiling water then boil for 8 to 10 minutes.
Drain water from the pasta then set it aside.
In a separate pan, melt 100 g of butter.
Saute 1 piece of a white onion diced.
Add 115 grams of mushroom then saute.
Add 250 g of sweet ham chopped into small squares.
Pour 500 ml of All-Purpose Cream then mix everything well.
Add 370 ml of evaporated milk.
Add 165 g of grated cheese.
You can add 1/4 cup of sugar for some sweetness.
Let it simmer, then mix from time to time.
Add the pasta and mix until the pasta gets totally coated with sauce.
