Chicken Cordon Bleu ( Chicken Recipe ) -Pinoy Christmas Recipes

Chicken Cordon Bleu ( Chicken Recipe ) Pinoy Christmas Recipes. Cordon Bleu a Dish composed of wrapped meat with ham and cheese. Dredge in flour and bread crumbs then deep fry or Bake.

Ingredients:

385 grams Chicken breast 
2 pieces Sweet ham
2 pieces Egg
1/2 cup All-purpose flour
2 slices Cheese
80 grams Bread crumbs
Salt
Ground pepper
Cooking oil

Procedure:

  1. Using a knife, make some slices on the chicken breast so that the chicken meat will be flat that would make it easier to pound, again, using a knife.
  2. Note that you can use other tools to flatten the chicken like a meat mallet.
  3. Sprinkle some salt and ground pepper onto the chicken then rub it.
  4. Add a slice of ham on top of it, then a slice of cheese.
  5. Roll the chicken then set aside. Repeat the process to the remaining chicken breast.
  6. You can use a cling wrap to wrap the chicken so it will stay rolled. You can use a toothpick too.
  7. Chill it for an hour.
  8. Prepare 3 separate deep wide plates each for the bread crumbs, flour, and beaten egg.
  9. For the egg coat, you need two pieces of egg, add salt and pepper, then beat it.
  10. Dredge the chicken roll into the flour.
  11. Coat with the egg, then dredge in the bread crumbs, then set aside. Repeat process to the remaining chicken roll.
  12. Preheat a pan with the amount of oil enough to fry half of the side of the chicken roll.
  13. Fry each side of the chicken roll until golden brown.
  14. Drain excess oil using a paper towel then set aside.
  15. Slice the chicken and it’s ready to serve.
