HOW TO COOK BREADED TOKWA WITH TOKWA AT BABOY SAUCE - BUDGET ULAM RECIPE
Start cooking this noteworthy dish by slicing the tokwa in desired sizes. Then, coat tokwa slices with breading mix. In a pan, heat oil enough for deep frying. Dredge tokwa slices in breading before placing them in oil. Deep fry breaded tokwa until they turn golden brown. Remove from heat and drain from excess oil.
For the sauce, mix in soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, onion, oyster sauce, onion chives, finger chili and black pepper in a bowl. Stir to mix the ingredients well. Serve and enjoy.
What can we use if breading mix is not available?
You can use flour and just season it with salt and pepper. You can also add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and other spices you might like.
Tips on Cooking this recipe
- Prepare the sauce first before cooking the tofu so that it will have time to rest and soak all the flavors of the ingredients in the sauce.

Ingredients
- 721.1 grams Tokwa / Tofu
- 250 grams Breading Mix
- 1 cup Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 tbsp Onion Chives
- 2-3 pieces Finger Chili
- Black Pepper
Instructions
- Slice tokwa in desired size.
- Coat tokwa with breading mix.
- Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
- Dredge tokwa slices in breading.
- Deep fry breaded tokwa until they turn golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain for excess oil.
- In a bowl, mix in soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, onion, oyster sauce, chives, finger chili and black pepper.
- Stir to mix ingredients well.
- Serve and enjoy.
